Exhibition: the Friendly Exchange

*****

Last year, my friend Wid and I had a casual chit chat about any possible cooperation between Lir and KPY (where he become vice-headmaster). Nothing extravagant.. just something casual and friendly.

Thus, he mentions some bright young photographers whose work might be interesting to exhibit at Lir. He made this little presentation about Putra and his animal pictures..and I was sugar-high! I mean..look at that sneak-peek pictures of a smiling gecko in the poster above and imagine a room full of cute 'expressive' animals!! Cuteness overload, I guarantee.

On the other side,  I wanted to make an exhibition for some young photographers who has already exhibit his work at Lir this past year and a half: Dito, Yoga, and Sandi. At first, I have this 'Home Project' thing in mind to be presented as a part of the next Huff Magazine that later transformed into an idea of a photobook. The photobook project for Home will still be going on but with a 'public-presentation' in a form of an exhibition. Then, a thought: "Why don't we just exhibit these two projects as an exchange?". Why not, right?

So be it!

The first week of March, Dwi Putra- a bright young photographer from the first batch of KPY will present his work at Lir. The exhibition, Familiar Faces will present 30+ pictures of animals headshots with a twist. The exhibition will be going on from March 3rd to 24th, 2013. (poster above)

Then, on the second week of March, the photographers of Lir (plus Wid, myself, and featuring our dear friend, Budi) will be exhibiting our works at KPY. The exhibition, Feels Like Home, will present 5 photo projects about Home. The exhibition will be going on for only a week (make sure you won't miss it!) from March 9th to 17th, 2013. (poster below)

We have five versions of the Feels Like Home exhibition poster featuring each of the artist's photograph.
